As most of you all ready know, Jane's Addiction will be the first US band to be honored with the NME "Godlike Genius" Award at this years show. It will be held at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 23. The event will be streaming live online at NME's myspace page at 9 PM PST/ 12 AM EST.
In addition to winning the award, the original line-up including Eric Avery, will be performing at the show. This will be the first time Eric has played in Jane's since their last show in Hawaii on September 26, 1991. Though it is uncertain whether there is a future for Jane's beyond the NME Awards, Eric has stated on his blog that the only reason he agreed to do this show was that it was honoring Jane's.
