This was a special performance at Tom Morello's Axis of Justice show. Perry Farrell invited Dave to join him on stage as Flea was part of the show and wanted to jam. The drummer for this special performance was Travis Barker.

This was the first time Dave and Perry played together since the Jane's shows in 2003, and was also the first time fans have seen them together since announcing Jane's Addiction would be going to the NME Awards as a band. Stephen Perkins was unable to join as he was playing with his band Banyan and Eric had not confirmed his involvement in the reunion at this point.
