[08/28/05 - Episode 22] Dave brought the remaining six contestants their next clinic as they were mourning the loss of Deanna. This weeks challenge was to lay down vocals on a new studio track entitled "Us." Everyone rehearsed the song except for JD, so when it came time to deliver he was the one who struggled most. Andrew and Jon were impressed with Suzie, and liked Marty's second "non-angry Marty" take. Song selection seemed to be the most difficult this week for the contestants as each were more determined than ever to get a certain song. To their surprise, two songs, "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want," are to be accompanied by a choir. [08/30/05 - Episode 23] The show started out with clips from the previous show. When they came back, Dave and INXS spoke to a few about their studio presence. First they spoke to JD, in which he said he thought he was supposed to go in and be told how to do it. Next they asked Jordis about her changing the melody, to which she replied she assumed it was open to interpretation. Finally, they praised the other side of Marty's voice, which they hadn't heard before. Ty - Rolling Stones, "You Can't Always Get What You Want" JD - Elvis, "Suspicious Minds" Marty - Pink Floyd, "Wish You Were Here" Jordis - John Lennon, "Imagine" Mig - Paul McCartney, "Live And Let Die" Suzie - Queen, "Bohemian Rhapsody" Initial bottom three: JD, Ty, Marty [08/31/05 - Episode 24] After showing clips from last nights show, they gave out the encore. For the second week in a row, Suzie got the encore. On top of that, they let her pick an "opening act," and she picked Marty. Clips from the rockers at the mansion after last nights performance was then shown. Many were worried about being in the bottom three, while there was also a lot of drama. JD took offense to Suzie saying he took a while in the studio during the clinic, and the rest of the contestants met and shared how upset they were with JD, which increased as Suzie came to them later seeking advice. Following this, they went around for comments. The only two who completely avoided the bottom three this week were Suzie and Mig. In the end, Marty pulled out more votes than all in the bottom three combined this week. JD - "This Time" Ty - "The One Thing" Jordis - "Listen Like Thieves" The band felt that all performances were underwhelming, and since this was Ty's third time in the bottom three, he was eliminated.
