[07/25/05 - Episode 07] The show started with the group mourning the loss of Neal. JD interupted at one point to see if the others were still upset about his comments last week, which some were. This weeks "clinic" was about stage craft. The contestants had to watch their last two performances and everyone was welcome to comment about anyones performance at any time to try and help each other along a bit. JD stumbled across this weeks songs, and wanted it to be known he knew they were there for a bit of time and he had yet to look at them before telling the rest of the group. He and Jordis both had "We Are The Champions" as their first choice. JD talked her out of it, and later tried to switch with her, or anyone, after seeing he'd have a hard time with it. Several rehearsal sessions were briefly shown including Ty, Mig, Suzie, Jordis, and Jessica. Brandon and JD were also shown, and Paul (the House Band leader) felt that they both need quite a bit of work. He thought Brandon wasn't able to do the melodies of his, and that the arrangement JD was trying to do wasn't "awful." As the credits rolled, footage of Mig in rehearsal was shown doing JD's song for this week, followed up by an impression of his comment from last week. Daphna - "What You Need" Heather - "By My Side" Jessica - "Elegantly Wasted" The band felt that Jessica had saved herself and asked her to join the other rockers. When it came to the remaining two, hey felt that Daphna's vocals were a little shakey, and they felt that Heather had given up all ready. In a shocking move, INXS eliminated both Daphna and Heather.
