Live: Camp Freddy-NotForNothing.net

[09/24/05]

[In Studio]: Billy, Billy Duffy

[Absentees]: Dave was in Las Vegas for the weekend, Matt was in Las Vegas hosting at the PURE Nightclub, and Donovan was in Scotland.

Early on in the show, Billy (Morrison) got into talking about the show Lost. They opened the lines and took a few calls from people with their theories on what the island is. Billy Duffy made a joke that the men on the raft, which is they were the men from The Fog who got lost. This somehow evolved to asking for how networks figure ratings with many people using TIVO.

Billy mentioned that a caller wanted to raise more money for the Katrina benefit, so he donated two pairs of tickets to the Camp Freddy show this week. They decided to auction them off, like they did two weeks ago. TK even played the "sweeper" introducing the Billy's for the Katrina show. At the top of the next hour, they had a live auction between two callers, the first set went for $400, and the second went for $385.

Camp Teddy did Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" this week.

There was a lot of music played this week. They had a theme of playing punk music at one point, playing a number of tracks from the start until the end of that era.

[Questions]:

For CF Board Shorts:
"Tell me the name of the movie that Gary Glitter made." [asked by Billy, answer: Remember Me This Way]

[Quotes]:

"I've been on this radio show more than Chris Chaney has, I'll tell you that much." [Billy Duffy]
"Dude, Chris has been here once." [Billy]
"Yeah, I know, so I've got him dead beat. He's trailing me." [Billy Duffy]

"Something happens to me when I listen to that, something happens in my trousers, TK, when I listen to that." [Billy, after playing the Sex Pistols, "God Save The Queen"]

"That is riviting radio, when it goes silent. No, it's called anticipation. It can either be construed as dead air and really bad radio hosts, or it could be anticipation before the next track." [Billy]
"Is it the anticipation that we're actually going to play songs that we were both on? Thus earning about thirty cents." [Billy Duffy, both laugh]

"Still waiting for the title of the Gary Glitter movie." [Billy]
"That's tough, well no, with the internet no it's not so.." [Billy Duffy]
"Not with the internet. You type in 'Gary Glitter' plus 'movie.'" [Billy]
"And what comes out? C-R-A-P." [Billy Duffy]
