[Absentees]: Dave was absent because he was "focusing on music," and Donovan was in Scotland.
Tonights show was part of Indie's 40-hour Hurricane Katrina radio-thon. Billy was on two hours prior as well to help out, and several guests, including: Brent Bolthouse, Josh Todd, Buck Cherry, plus Billy Duffy joined him towards the end and stayed for CFR.
In that hour, many items were being auctioned to raise money, one caller even put up her tickets to the upcoming Camp Freddy show because she was going after a Sunset Strip package. Billy Duffy put up a pair of Chrome Hearts black denim jeans starting and ending at $200.
Matt had just flown in from Vegas, and put up an auction for two nights at the Hard Rock, plus a bottle and table at Body English for two, which he started at $1,000. Billy Duffy joked about how they should get a gas company to throw in a gallon of gas. Matt also added a limo ride for a night to the deal. Later on, Matt offered to join the winner on that weekend and just continued to step it all up. Brent Bolthouse called in and threw in tickets to see Motley Crue at The Joint with VIP passes so long as it was the same weekend as The Killers. Towards the end of the show, there was an on air bid-fest between two callers and Joe Sib in the studio, and ended at $2,600.
Matt also put up a couple of his things in one bunch, a pair of his old, signed GNR drumsticks and a couple bass drum heads from CF, VR (from the "Slither" video) and Cult starting at $500 and ended at $800. He also offered to autograph everything.
Billy mentioned that two items, Ozzy Osbourne's sun glasses, and a Beatles lyric sheet, were being moved to ebay. Later, Sean at Denim Doctors offered to customize a pair for someone starting at $200.
The first non-auction/Katrina subject brought up was RockStar: INXS. Billy Duffy shared his views on the remaining contestants, picking each of them apart as he sees them.
They were trying to reach Major Pullman, chief of police in St. Bernard-Parish, a district of New Orleans to talk to, but Matt had the wrong number, however they actually got him and spoke to him for a few moments.
Billy added an incentive to the Camp Freddy tickets, which is that the winner will get all access to the show.
