They explained why they did not broadcast the show live from Las Vegas at the Maxim Hot 100 party the previous week, and gave out the number of John Buckham to call for radio problems. They also gave out the number for Rick, who they blammed for not being able to go to the phones.
The phone lines were down so they were taking one-sided conversation on the air. Dave asked about using speaker phone which worked out some for them.
Billy told a story about a fan that called in on a previous show [5/15/04] to win tickets to see Doheny, and due to Dave joking around, he had actually thought he won dinner with Billy at the restaurant of his choosing, and that he didn't want the tickets.
