[In Studio]: Matt, Billy
[Absentees]: Dave was extremely busy, Chris was busy at the Record Plant, and Donovan was out for an unknown reason.
Opening up the show, Matt shared how he had spent his day at the Coachella Festival. He rented a 32 foot RV and once again had a barbeque with many of his friends, and ended up missing the majoirty of the show.
One caller, who's called in on a few previous shows, played a song on his trumpet and wanted them to guess what it was. Billy quickly guessed "Welcome To The Jungle" by Guns N' Roses.
Billy wanted women to call in with gun stories. There were a few calls, and the first one was acutally on her way down to the range and admitted that shooting a gun turns her on. At the end of the show, there was another who was sharing how she enjoyed the smell of the gunpowder and the grease, and the dust from being at an outdoor range, and "shagged" her husband because of it.
They mentioned that they've recently, as a band, discussed the possibility of doing a Camp Freddy Japanese tour.
Matt shared his recent encounter with Axl Rose, which was the first in several years. After clearing the air some, and Matt giving him a hug, they sat down and talked for a few hours and Axl even drove Matt home that night.
[Quotes]:
"How long have you been married?" [Billy]
"It'll be two years coming up." [caller]
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, you see, when you start hitting the three year mark you've got to start taking your clothes off in the middle of the desert and dancing around a fire." [Billy]
"Have you guys done that all ready, you and Jen?" [Matt]
"We do that every Sunday." [Billy]
"Oh my god! OK, you are very cool, and listen, take it easy and I just have the upmost respect for hot chicks that want to have sex with guns." [Billy, to the first female gun caller]
"These English guys, they come over here and get a little sunshine, it goes straight to their head." [Matt, joking about Billy going to Hawaii next week]
