Live: Camp Freddy-NotForNothing.net

[00/00/05]

[In Studio]: Dave, Billy, Donovan
[Guest(s)]: Dale (a Pink Dot truck driver)
[Weather]: Messy Stench (Carmen was at a photoshoot)
[Traffic]: Messy Stench (Simara was angry at Dave)
[Phone-Ins]: Chris (movie review guy), Triumph The Comic Insult Dog
[Phone Calls]: Jack (Dono's brother), Kate (Dono's niece)

[Absentees]: Matt was on tour with Velvet Revolver.

They had a driver from Pink Dot come in, and they kept him in the studio to chat for a bit. Dave and Billy both shared how they benefited from Pink Dot during their drug days. Billy in particular was surprised that, when he came to the US, there was such a service as Pink Dot to bring you ice cream at 3 in the morning.

Dave also pitched the idea, free to anyone, of a Pink Dot movie, saying it was a "must," as long as The Panic Channel does the soundtrack. He then took it back and said it would be a "Camp Freddy Production."

Chris, who is generally the "Will Smith" review guy, was promoted to reviewing other movies since he pretty much ran out of Will Smith movies to watch. This week he reviewed "Dreamlover." He left them with a trivia question about a cameo Jimmy Buffet did in an underground/cult movie as a government agent.

TK brought in a bunch of mail for the guys, and Dave had this one package and he thought it would be his Olson Twin dolls, but unfortunately it wasn't, and he mentioned he's still waiting on those. Most of the packages were CDs.

[Girls From The Weekly]:

Triumph called in just before they attempted getting into this segment, and he performed his own version of the jingle, "calling up the bitches on the weekly."

They didn't get to do this segment due to the fact that they didn't have an LA Weekly in the studio. They did, however, call Crystal, who they've talked to before, who was unavailable, so they left her a message.

[Questions]:

For tickets to see Chelsea Smiles:
"What is a Chelsea smile?" [asked by Billy, answer: a smile opened from ear to ear with a blade]

"This song is called "Did You No Wrong," what B-side was it on, and what color was the sleeve?" [asked by Billy, answers: "God Save the Queen," Blue] (no one got it right)

"What actor said this, what was the characters name, and what film was it? - 'Nothing, they ain't in room 243, but ya'll ain't got no business being in there no how, so stay out, stays out!'" [asked by Dave, answers: Scatman Crothers, Dick Hallorann, The Shining]

"There's a song called "Bridge of Size," it's a rock song and I need to know who did it." [asked by Billy, answer: unanswered]

"Tell me what movie was the lead singer of that band, Placebo, his name is Brian Molko, what movie was he in?" [asked by Billy, answer: Velvet Goldmine]

For the lot of CDs they got in the mail:
"How about the name of Gus Van Sandts first film?" [asked by Donovan, answer: unanswered]

[Quotes]:

"He gave me a handful of pills right before the show and the next thing I know I'm looking at Flea's penis." [Dave, about before a Jane's show for "The Colonel"]

"They had me do the socks a couple of nights, very interesting. It's somehow liberating and kind've invites you to explore your own sexuality as a man. And we did, let me tell ya, those things came off back stage and it was a party." [Dave, reflecting on being in RHCP]

"If it wasn't for his penis, and his gender, and if he had a pair of breasts, I'd go out with him." [Dave, about Anthony Kiedis]

"If you guys need me to not show up anymore, I'm cool. 'Cuz obviously there's a vibe, a Billy-Dave vibe, ya know, it's been weeks, I'm a little out of the loop. I'm the injured footballer." [Donovan]

"Dave looks fucking.. Dave looks spot on all the time!" [Billy, when bringing up Denim Doctors]

"I've just got something to say, I love you sending CDs, but if you want to send plasma televisions and Marie-Kate and Ashley dolls, that would be nice. All televisions and dolls accepted." [Billy]
