[Girls From The Weekly]:
Billy Duffy had the pleasure of picking a girl this week. He picked Mia, "An All-American School Girl." When she was asked to be on the air she flat out said no.
Dave picked the next girl, Jennifer, and she didn't believe that they were really from the station, so they told her to turn on the radio and she started freaking out when she heard herself on the air. They asked her several questions, about the pictures in the ads, GFE, and about girls who answer phones but don't do the appointments.
[Questions]:
For an Indie 103.1 sweatband
"If you can guess what's in this bag, you can have it. ... It's definately a fabric item. And I'll give you one, it's not a T-shirt. It's not a T-shirt, it's not a hat, and it says 'Indie 103.1'" [asked by Dave and Billy Duffy]
[Quotes]:
[after asking Duffy if he got "What's Ian [Astbury] like?" from fans]
"... Because we'd be on tour and I'd hear 'Dave, Dave, Dave, what's up man? Dave' Oh hey, what's up? 'Yo man, what's Perry like?'" [Dave]
"But would that be probably because Perry did less interviews than Ian and no one actually knew what he was like?" [Billy]
"Um, ya know, I worked with Perry for about 20 years, I still don't know what he's like." [Dave]
"If you guys ever run into trouble, you and your wife, what you do is get one of those little pouches, one of those little cabouse things, you get that, you put your little girl in there, and then you just hang out in front of the Coffee Bean." [Dave, when talking to an expecting father]
"You know what's interesting, is that if my mom shot down a name of a potential baby for me, you know what I'd say? I'd say 'What the hell are you doing here? You've been dead for 20 years.'" [Dave]
"There are 9 year olds listening. Dave, there are 9 year olds listening to our radio show! Oh my god!" [Billy]
