[In Studio]: Dave, Matt
This show was pre-taped on 06/04/08 because not only was it Dave's birthday, but he was also at the Erotica LA convention. Billy and Matt were in Las Vegas at the Sex Pistols show.
After playing one of their tracks, Matt brought up a story of a time he took Radiohead out on the town and asked them how they write their music. Their response was they get stoned, which brought Dave to bring up that he gets second hand smoke from Stephen Perkins when they're out on tour. This started a big conversation about pot, and how it's now in candy bars and cookies, which Dave said Chris Chaney was put in the hospital because he ate a pot cookie.
Matt addressed the current state of Velvet Revolver. He shared that Duff McKagan sent him an e-mail asking his thoughts of Beth Hart for the new singer of VR, who apparently originally auditioned before Scott ultimately became part of the band. He also said they'll be holding auditions, though only to a select few, that they've sent two instrumental tracks for them to write lyrics for. Dave gave the suggestion of getting Axl Rose, implying a Guns N' Roses reunion, and saying the original line-up of Jane's Addiction would tour with them.
