LOVE Actually
Marriage becomes Electra, as ex-Baywatch beauty Carmen weds rocker Dave Navarro in L.A.
The first hint that ex-Baywatch star Carmend Electra and Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro were planning something unique for their nuptials was the platinum and red invitation. Attire, the note said, should be "hot and sexy." And when the 200 guests (including Hugh Hefner and Kelly and Jack Osbourne) arrived at L.A.'s St. Regis Hotel on Nov. 22, they were greeted by black-clad gentlemen in red masks--a nod to one of the pair's favorite films, Eyes Wide Shut--and then escorted into a Garden of Eden, complete with projected water walls, flowered metal vines and a white python. "It was all about the sexy part of Carmen," says wedding producer Randie Pellegrini, "and the rock and roll part of Dave."
As the ceremony gotr under way at 5:30 p.m., Electra, 31, told a friend, "What's really going to touch my heart is when my dad takes a step back when walking down the aisle and my husband takes his place." For his part, Navarro, 36, said, "I'm nervous! I'm marrying the girl of my dreams." Preceded by a maid of honor and four bridesmaids (among them Sharon Osbourne), Electra made her entrance in a strapless beaded Badgley Mischka cream gown, accented by Neil Lane chandelier drop earrings. Gazing at Navarro, who wore a Gucci suit, Electra joked during her vows, "I thought I would never marry a guy who looks in the mirror more than I do." Throughtout the evening "there was just as much laughter as there were tears," says wedding stylist Amanda Reno. "They found the one, and they wanted to shout it from the rooftops."
